It does heat up to about 40-50°c when put to alot of use but that should not be a major concern

it feel premium and compliment my MacBook but that’s it. every other pd could do what this little thing does. and it heats a lot when use but its an advantage since your internals are generating heat and the metallic body is dissipating it.

ScanDisk always does a great job. I got a new MacBook, which meant that I needed to get a thumb-drive with a USB-C. The thing is tiny. It’s so small I’m afraid I’ll lose it. It’s literally like 1.5 inches ling and maybe 0.25 inches thick at its widest point. Its size is okay, just tiny.
My only ding is that there’s no dust cover/cap for the USB tip. The tip doesn’t rotate into the body to protect it, it rotates in as a USB-A tip rotates out. Carrying this in your pocket, purse, or bag will result in small particles of debris getting into the USB tips.
ScanDisk could have done a 4.0 job by: 1) Offering a free lanyard with the drive. It’s so small. The lanyard might help you not lose it. 2) Offering some sort of dust protection (i.e., a cap or case).
