I recently purchased the TP-Link AC750 WiFi Range Extender, and I must say, it has made a significant difference in my home network. Here’s my review:

Performance (4/5):
The AC750 range extender effectively expanded the coverage of my WiFi network. I noticed a noticeable improvement in signal strength and stability in areas of my home that previously had weak or no coverage. It handled multiple devices simultaneously, including streaming and online gaming, without any major hiccups. However, the range may not be sufficient for very large homes or outdoor areas.

Easy Setup (5/5):
Setting up the extender was a breeze. TP-Link provides clear, step-by-step instructions, and the mobile app made the process even more straightforward. Within minutes, I had it up and running.

Compact Design (4/5):
The compact design of the extender allows it to plug into any electrical outlet without obstructing adjacent sockets. It blends well with the surroundings and doesn’t draw unnecessary attention.

Dual-Band Functionality (4/5):
The dual-band capability was a significant advantage. It allowed me to connect devices to the 5GHz band for faster speeds, while older devices could still connect to the 2.4GHz band. This versatility was a definite plus.

Reliability (4/5):
The range extender worked reliably most of the time. Occasionally, there were some minor signal drops or the need to reset the extender, but overall, it offered a substantial improvement in network stability.

Price (5/5):
The TP-Link AC750 offers great value for the price. It’s an affordable solution for improving WiFi coverage without breaking the bank.

In conclusion, the TP-Link AC750 WiFi Range Extender is a reliable and budget-friendly solution for improving WiFi coverage in a typical household. While it may not be suitable for large homes or complex network setups, it does an excellent job for the average user. If you need a simple and effective way to extend your WiFi signal, this extender is worth considering.

I have a range issue in the second floor as the main modem/WiFi router is installed in the first floor. This solved the issue practically but here is what you need to know if you haven’t tried such solution yet:

1. It’s amazingly easy to set up.
2. It can work either as an extender or as an access point.
3. Here is the caveat: if you deploy this as an extender, don’t expect that you can get the same SSID as the router. The extender will as _EXT suffix to the original SSID. This is not a great problem BUT you will need to setup all your devices for a new “access point” because of this change (added extension). Also, they have documented that if they are using this extender along with TP Link’s mesh router, it will be the same SSID all around and devices will latch to the strongest node seamlessly.
4. It comes with Indian-type three-pin plug (this is bought in India) integral to the extender body. This is a convenient design but I expected a DC power input as well. Unfortunately it doesn’t have one. So it is not possible to power it from a router UPS (inexpensive solution to power such a device). In my case the main router is UPS powered and so if there is a power outage, extender will become unavailable even when there is connectivity and the main router is running.
5. Signal strength or range was not specified in any documentation and I would give only 4/5 stars for this. As I get only 2-3 bars in the strength indicator, across a wall while I see the main router signal from the floor below is stronger. It may be designed so, for a mesh network and it may be adequate for that.

Overall I would recommend this to extend WiFi range because of setting up was simple and it really works.

 First unit I received was not functional. Amazon promptly replaced it with new one and I now I have been using it for almost a month and works perfectly

Extended range is not as expected. Decent increase in the range. But, couldn’t get original speed.

Es fácil de configurar en general, las apps tiene asistente para esto. Tiene buen alcance y el indicador de la potencia de señal es de mucha ayuda. Lo probé usando ethernet, y las dos bandas y en todas funciona muy bien, lo utilicé para exender el alcance de mi red a la segunda planta donde apenas llegaba la 2.4 y con fallos y resolvió mi problema.

Es cierto que la luz que emite es muy brillante pero se puede configurar para desactivarlo o poner un modo nocturno con horario donde se apaga automáticamente durante las noches para que no sea molesto.

No cuento con un router que soporte mesh pero al parecer también soporta esta funcionalidad sin problema.

Muy recomendable comparado con otras opciones que he usado como algunos access points o powerline.
